First Privately Funded Lunar Landing Mission - ’Beresheet’

SpaceIl was one of the frontrunners in the Google Lunar X-Prize, but nobody win the prize because the deadline passed. However without the prize the team continued and today their spacecraft ’Beresheet’ is heading into space on top of a Falcon 9 rocket as a secondary payload. If they make it to the surface of the moon it’ll make Israel the 4th country to put a lander on the surface of the moon, and the first privately funded spacecraft to go there.
