Happy Monday! Today our @Alexandru Don would love to show us how he shoot a commercial under 4 hours. Below are the tips he would love to share with us! The first one is that he had two camera setups. One is the gimbal setup and another one is handheld setup. Autofocus was kind of crucial in the situation. So therefore he was switching between lenses pretty fast without losing time. Secondly, he plan his shoot in advance. He didn’t have the storyboard, but he had a very good idea on what he had to shoot. He was also talking consistently with the director to make sure they are on track and they are filming the exact things that they needed to shoot. Next, in order to make things look cinematic, he always likes to light his sets. So using the battery powered lights is really important for him. In this shooting he used a MixPanel 150 which is really powerful and was running on battery. Also, whenever you go filming, make sure to always have diffusion and negative fills.
