Manciolino’s first assault with sword and buckler (partial)
This is a work in progress video showing the current interpretation of the entry into the play, the embellishment of the play and the recovery from play.
All of these actions are to be done “into the air“, and therefore they do not necessarily have a direct practical application other than showcasing the skill and style of the swordsman. These actions possibly also have a pedagogical purpose in teaching correct movement patterns that can later be applied into combat.
