Groundhogs - Live Lounge @ Baby Blue Liverpool

Tony TS McPhee, the guitarist and singer of the Groundhogs began his career supporting the likes of John Lee Hooker and Champion Jack Dupree in the mid 60s before he went on to form the Groundhogs. It was only almost 3 months to the day (16 June 2009) after this here gig, that Tony suffered a serious stroke which affected his speech and his ability to sing. Tony carried on playing guitar for a number of years and his wife Joanna Deacon took over the vocals. I believe the Groundhogs are still keeping the name alive under the title of Ken Puselniks Groundhogs lead by the original Groundhogs drummer.
