The Pogues - Self Aid, Dublin, May 17 1986

The Pogues’ live set from Self Aid, at Dublin’s RDS, in its entirety. Introduced on-stage by the late great Ronnie Drew. A lively fifteen minutes followed; tracks include “The Sick Bed Of Cúchulainn“, Body Of An American“, Dirty Old Town“ and “Sally MacLennane“. Self Aid was a concert organised to tackle the growing problem of unemployment and emigration in Ireland, heavily leaning on the success of Live Aid the previous year. The Pogues, along with a welter of Irish music’s finest, certainly made it a day to remember.
