Manhã de Carnaval by Luiz Bonfá - Aquarelle Guitar Quartet & Clarice Assad

Here is our take on the brilliant ’Manhã de Carnaval’ (’Carnival Morning’) by Brazilian composer Luiz Bonfá and lyricist Antônio Maria. This version has been arranged for the quartet and Clarice by Vasilis Bessas. ’Manhã de Carnaval’ is widely known as the main theme of the 1959 Portuguese-language film, ’Black Orpheus’ and appears in many key scenes in the film. We are delighted to promote this new collaborative project with one of Brazil’s most exciting young artists.
