Start with a cutting out a hexagon shape (the template I used is for a 1“ hexagon seam allowance) and place on a scrap piece of batting. Use strips of fabric (mine are cut at 1.5“ wide) to sew around the sides. Keep sewing strips on until the hexagon has reached the desired size. Trim off excess batting.
