21. Peron was founded on 11th July 1973 at 11 am at the bus stop number 11, by Alp Gültekin, Seyhan Eriş, Halil Yıldırım, Andreas Wildermann, Aron Şerez, and Haluk Öztekin. The band, received the Promising Band Award from Democrat İzmit newspaper in 1975, created a unique genre combining Anatolian rock with progressive rock tunes, and attracted attention with their songs named Anne, Beş, TL, , as well as Petruşka which they recorded just using a reel-to-reel tape recorder.
