Mystery of the Alien Gargoyle on a 12th Century Abbey

An Alien Gargoyle on a historic 12th Century Scottish Abbey has caused a social media sensation with its resemblance to the monster from the Alien films. In 2013 someone took a photograph of the out of place feature and it became hugely popular on social media, and there was good reason for it. In 2018 the Alien gargoyle Image was once again being talked about on social media due to an update on the Abbey’s Facebook page. Any Sci-Fi movie fan will instantly recognize the familiar design of the alien looking gargoyle, which has a striking similarity to the creature in all of the Alien movies with Sigourney weaver. Paisley Abbey is located in the town of Paisley in Scotland, the town was a significant religious center in the 12th century, thanks to the construction of Paisley Abbey which still stands proudly today.
