CHUVASH: Surhuri

SURHURI “Sheep Leg“ is the New Year Celebration among Chuvash. Some Northern Bashkirians have a similar holiday with the same name (Harkayaq). The symbolisms of holiday are common for Eurasia, they find meaning and realizations in cultures of Middle East, Central Asia and Europe too.
