Ukraine: Activists celebrate Unification Day in Kiev with flares and chanting

Around 400 activists, including members of the civil wing of “Azov,“ as well as the Ukrainian Alliance of fighters and volunteers of ATO, gathered in central Kiev on Friday to celebrate the Day of Unification. The torch-lit “unity march“ began from the Shevchenko monument and headed to St. Michael’s Square, with the activists holding flares. The Day of Unification marks the day of unification of the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the West Ukrainian People’s Republic, on January 22, 1919.
