If Caught In the Rain failed to make any money, Chaplin was told he would not get another chance to direct. Under immense pressure Chaplin delivered this charming story of a good old fashion drunkin’ tramp getting into some shenanigans. Fortunately for the future of cinema, the movie was a great commercial success.
