LIVE Lappet-Faced Vulture Nest CAM|Israel Nat.&Parks Auth.|Charter Group of Wildlife Ecol.

We need your donations to keep Charter Group Birdcams growing: The last lappet-faced vulture pair in Israel laid a egg for the first time this year ever but unfortunately after the nestling hatched the parents cared for it but did not feed it. The nestling was therefore hand fed by the Hai Bar staff. After the nestling was old enough it was returned within the enclosure with its parents within a small cage in order that it will be around other vultures but not outside with them in fear that it’s pair will kill it. After the nestling was old enough, a very old vulture (adopted auntie, named Paula) was brought from the Safari Zoo and added within an enclosure with the nestling in order that the nestling will learn how to be a vulture from its adopted auntie. The auntie immediately accepted the nestling and they are living happily together. This is a huge success story. The parents of this nestling are the last pair of Lappet-Faced Vultures
