Nick Sortor: Conservative influencer cleared of charges after Portland protest

Conservative influencer Nick Sortor was cleared of charges after his arrest during an ICE demonstration in Portland, Oregon on October 2. Sortor faced a charge of disorderly conduct after the Portland Police Bureau said officers on the scene of the protests saw multiple fights break out. The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said after reviewing the reports and video, it could not prove Sortor’s charge beyond a reasonable doubt. Protests outside the ICE facility in Portland escalated in recent days after President Trump said he would be sending National Guard troops to the city.
