The eighth fight in the career of future HOF’er Mayweather. This fight was held in San Antonio, Texas, on the undercard of Oscar De La Hoya vs David Kamau. Opponent O’Shields brings with him a record of 12-3-1. From what I see at boxrec, two fights prior he fought to a draw with future Mayweather opponent Emanuel Augustus, a fighter whom all the boing Mayweather’s have publicly stated they believed him to hae been one of the toughest, if not THEE toughest, fight of Mayweather’s career. I do not believe anyone has attempted to make a claim of the same for Mr. O’Shields here
