A look at today’s newspaper

Every day now, the news one sees grows more and more bizarre. Since the increase in weirdness is slight and incremental, one grows accustomed to it, rather on the ‘boiling frog’ principle. What would once have had us rubbing our eyes in disbelief now passes without much remark.
