USA: NYC“s orthodox Jewish community express solidarity with Palestine

An orthodox Jewish community demonstrated in New York City on Sunday to show solidarity with Palestine and protest against the Israeli Defence Forces in light of calls of some politicians in Israel to march to the illegal outpost of Homesh in the West Bank. People gathered, some carrying Palestinian flags and banners stating that ’anti-Israel’ should not be equated with ’anti-Semitism.’ People also held banners mentioning the Neturei Karta, an ultra-Orthodox Jewish group founded in 1938 that rejects Zionism and the State of Israel on religious grounds.
