Earl Haig AKA Earl Haig At Garden Party (1920)

London. Intertitle: “EARL HAIG attends Garden Fete - organises by Officers Association“. M/S of Earl Douglas Haig walking through a fete surrounded, good C/U as he walks towards the camera. M/S of a small crowd at the end of a field. In the foreground a woman is doing a bizarre sort of dance - she is dressed in leopard skin tunic and holds a bow and arrow. Her musical accompaniment is provided by a woman at a piano and two violinists. Various shots of little girls dressed as fairies doing a dance. M/S of two army officers watching. M/S of the Earl and his entourage of dignitaries walking around the fete. Note: the title of this story is slightly misleading - although there a few very good shots of Haig, the bulk of the story shows girls dancing. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
