I used two mono Neumann KM86 condenser microphones as a Stereo pair, placed 50 feet high in the Nave facing the South Gallery where the Great Organ is situated. The Chancel Organ was not recorded on this record. I apologise for any rumble from the organ motors, but they are situated along both sides of the organ and the sound travels directly into the Nave.
