Hope the Elephant is the mascot of River’s Gift, a charity focused on building awareness, funding research and providing education around SIDS. The charity was founded in honour of River Waddell, who suddenly and unexpectedly lost his life to SIDS at 4 months of age in November 2011. To date River’s Gift has raised in excess of $1 million and is Australia’s largest funding body for scientific SIDS research.
