Various shots of burning buildings with fire hoses playing water on them. Various shots of bombed buildings and devastation. Survivors pick their way through the rubble. More anti-aircraft fire. Shots of people sheltering from bombing raids in Underground stations (some scenes at Aldwych). Voiceover says ’Yes, England can take it’. King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother) visit ruined buildings and streets in London. CU of Queen Elizabeth. Shot of Prime Minister Winston Churchill inspecting damage.
