Russian forces fighting in the Donbass town of Ukrainsk ran into an Ukrainian volunteer trying to evacuate remaining civilians. The Russian advance in Ukrainsk was very fast and unexpected for the enemy, so evacuation was basically happening last minute.
After the Russian soldier learned that the Ukrainian guy was evacuating civilians, he just let him go. Intuitively, it seems like the right thing to do, obviously. However, any kind of Ukrainian “volunteer“ working at and around the frontline is basically guaranteed to be a 1488% ideological Banderite, no matter what he does specifically.
And as it later turned out, that was the case here too. That particular Ukrainian volunteer had videos on his social media mocking corpses of fallen Russian soldiers in typical Ukrainian fashion. And other stuff.
I still think that what the Russian soldier did was right, soldier catches AFU evacuating civilians - decides to let them go
