This Week in Volcano News; Magma Intrusion Beneath a Town, Kanlaon Erupts

This week, a massive 13-mile-long intrusion of magma was detected partially underneath a town. This intrusion has caused large cracks to appear in the ground in Ethiopia, along with creating new hot springs where ones previously did not exist. Elsewhere, in the Philippines, the Kanlaon volcano erupted and sent a plume of ash 1,000 meters above its summit crater. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, the alert level was raised at the Iya volcano due to the likely presence of shallow magma. This video will discuss these stories and list the 49 volcanoes which are actively erupting around the planet.
