On Monday, September 23, we met Tommy Robinson in our TV studio in Oslo. We had invited Tommy to a meeting with our subscribers the next day, but also wanted to take the opportunity to have a more personal conversation with him in our studio. Robinson was born in London in 1982, but moved with his family to Luton, a town just north of London, when he was young. He took the name Tommy Robinson around 2004 to avoid threats and violence from Muslim groups in Luton. The sex grooming of British girls had already been going on in British towns and cities for a number of years and this included a girl in Tommy’s family. He became a member of the BNP, the only group at the time to show any interest in the gang rape of young girls that only the British working class were subjected to. It wasn’t until 2011 that journalist Andrew Norfolk of The Times brought the issue to the attention of the rest of the British public.
