The Sundial - запись третьего альбома (2017-2018)

We started doing an interesting project right inside the band! Documentaries about the life of a simple rock (metal) band from the Russian underground and a small town, a real combo, isn’t it?! :) !!! Music from the beginning of the video is here!!! About life behind the stage, on stage, from recording studios in Russia, in Europe, joint parties and rehearsal moments. As expected, we started neither from the end nor from the beginning, but from the middle of the band’s life, namely from 2017. In this part we are already recording our third album, ’Deep Blue Phoenix’. Almost everything that we then recorded in the Polish studio was not really included in this album, which was released in May 2021. We rewrote almost everything and with completely different people. It was the heaviest album in the history of the band, which was being worked on from 2015 to 2021. After its release, we changed the genre of our music and moved into progressive post-rock. We will tell about everything gradually in the following parts of the film, and also, we will cover the life of a ’simple Russian metalhead’ until 2009. We have been keeping video diaries throughout almost our entire creative (since 2004) path just for the purpose of creating this material. We really hope that we will be able to give beginners and already established bands some important information about backstage life and that a band is like an organism that grows, develops, matures, and it doesn’t matter at all whether you are standing on a big stage or on a small one, because the problems of show business really scale.
