Recent News - ’Fighter’ movie review: Exploring new frontiers in fight against graft After enthralling the audience as Major Kabir in War, actor Hrithik Roshan is gearing up to play an IAF officer in Siddharth Anand’s next, Fighter. Recently a video of Hrithik has resurfaced on the internet where he is talking about his role in the movie. Fighter, scheduled for a 2024 release, also stars Deepika Padukone in the lead role. The viral clip from an old interview has Hrithik giving some details about his character in the film who is called Patty. The actor also reveals that he has shot with Sukhois for the movie and it was a learning experience for him to be around the Indian Air Force during the filming of the drama. Hrithik says, “We shot for about 12 days inside the Sukhois and with the Sukhois. It has been incredible and it’s been so inspiring just to be around the Indian Air Force. I learnt so much, the body language, the decorum, the discipline, what they are up against every single day.” The actor also shares that his character Patty is “quite interesting” and is similar to his younger self. He adds, “It’s very interesting as Patty, in many ways, in maturity, and age-wise too, is a little younger than me or how Kabir is. Kabir is more evolved and composed. Patty is young, spontaneous and angry, angry at things that maybe I would not personally be angry at. So, Patty is an interesting space for me because I remember me being like that at some point in my life. It is very hard to reconcile with him because I have to keep my evolution aside.” A few days ago, Hrithik Roshan shared a still from Fighter. In it, his back was towards the camera as he posed alongside some fighter jets. He captioned the photo, “#Fighter #25Jan2024 #7MonthsToFighter.” The film, backed by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, will arrive in theatres on January 25, 2024. This is Hrithik’s third movie with Siddharth Anand after Bang Bang and War. The filmmaker had earlier spoken to India Today and had shared how Hrithik has owned his character of Patty in Fighter. He said, “Patty, the character he’s playing in Fighter, he’s made it his own. He’s like a chameleon, he just adapts and becomes that character for that one year (when he’s shooting the film). So he can bring a certain genuineness to it that can last over a franchise, it’s not just made up for that moment, he becomes that person.
