“Наурыз Думан Фестиваль“. 17 марта г. Эдинбург

This year Edinburgh Kazakh Society for the first time opens its doors to celebrate our traditional holiday - Nauryz. Nauryz is the symbol of springtime and a holiday of celebration, friendship and happiness. It is the day when the length of the day and night equals, time when all live starts awakening from the winter, trees and flowers start blossoming and birds sing. Therefore, to celebrate this wonderful holiday we are welcoming all Kazakhstan students from all over UK and international students to our event. The schedule for the event is the following: At 12pm the participants have their rehearsal before the beginning of the festival. At 2pm our guests have a chance to taste our traditional home made food. At 3pm the Nauryz-festival starts where Kazakh Societies from different cities will perform a play that shows one of our traditions containing either a song or a dance or a play on our traditional instruments.
