New texts show authorities knew of Trump’s would-be assassin 90 minutes before shooting
Newly surfaced texts have proven law enforcement knew of Donald Trump’s would-be assassin nearly two hours before the shooting.
Officials previously claimed that Thomas Matthew Crooks was noticed by agents roughly an hour before.
The New York Times obtained texts between members of the Beaver County Emergency Service Unit.
The unit member’s texts provide a far more solid and earlier timeline leading up to Crook’s opening fire at the Pennsylvania rally.
The text messages also revealed the 20-year-old shooter was aware of law enforcement presence at the rally.
At a congressional hearing, it was revealed that authorities identified Crooks as a suspicious person 60 minutes before the shooting.
