“The Red Queen“, by Annwn A piratical anthem singing the praises of Anne Bonny, one of the most famous and successful female pirates, from the album “Come Away to the Hills“. (The video spells it “Bonney“, but I copypasted the lyrics and didn’t feel like correcting every instance, so nyeah.) Lyrics and MP3 taken from the band’s official site: There appears to be a more famous symphonic metal band called Annwn. This is a completely different band from the San Francisco Bay Area, who played a weird-ass blend of blues, rock, folk, filk, and whatever the hell else they felt like. Sadly, this Annwn’s career came to an end in 2006 when their lead vocalist and frontwoman, Leigh Ann Hussey, was killed in a motorcycle accident. She is and will continue to be missed.
