Full Grown Green Terror Cichlid Growth & Size

If they all died then it’s most likely an ammonia spike. Possibly too many fish for the filter to handle. Heythats ok depending on the fish. Most fish need bigger than a 10g tank. I’ve got an aqueon filter for 10 to 20 gallons, that way if I wanted to size up to a 20 gallon, I wouldn’t have to buy another filter. Loaches can supplement their air by breathing from the surface so it may have been more resistant to what could happen have killed your fish if it was a water quality issue. High ammonia could still burn its gills but could last longer . You never know when a spike can occur from a dead fish or snail or some other cause to take out our fish.
