Composed in Salzburg in September 1769. First performed at St. Peter’s church in Salzburg on October 1, 1769 for the first Mass celebration of Cajetan Hagenauer, who took the name Dominicus on his ordination. Oboes, horns, and trumpets were added in 1776.
