How Flat Is Your Table Saw Top?

In this video I talk about aluminum extrusions and table saw tops. My General 350 cast iron table saw top appears flat but it’s not. The two points I make in this video are: 1) A table saw top is not a precision measuring device. 2) 100% flatness and 100% straightness is difficult to achieve. Perhaps my General table saw was flatter in the past. But after 20 plus years of hard use it’s had some wear. But, I can still do precision work even though my table saw is 7 thousandth’s of an inch off over 34 inches
