Drive from Wheelchair Mercedes V Class with Space Drive by Lewis Reed + Steering Developments

If you follow my RISDIPLAM Journey you will know I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) - a rare, genetically inherited neuromuscular condition. It causes progressive muscle weakness and loss of movement due to muscle wasting (atrophy). There are different forms of SMA and a wide spectrum of how severely children and adults are affected. I have type 2. Despite this I can drive an adapted vehicle. This is my 4th car in 20 years driving and is adapted by Lewis Reed and Steering Developments. As far as I am aware it is the only Drive from Wheelchair V-Class in the UK. It has all the Mercedes top end features and joystick steering for me, a wheelchair user. The hand controls are PARAVAN’s Space Drive System. I drive from my Permobil F5 using Permalock tie down.
