How I Make Simple Cloth Doll | DinLife

(Fabric I used here is a raw linen from an old shirt) This is a simple way of making doll that I have learned on internet. I didn’t know where exactly this doll originated, but now I know that this doll is very similar to Russian traditional rag dolls, although the way to do it seems a bit different. Part of the outfit you can create arbitrary, but remember to pay attention to the proportions: The head will be about 1/3 to 1/4 of the whole body. And the fabric for the arms will be as wide as the height of the doll. For example, if you want to make a doll that is 10cm tall like in this video, you will need a piece of fabric 20cm wide, and roll it until you get about 2cm wide (face width) to make the head and the body like in the video. And for the arm, you will need a 10cm wide fabric and roll it until you get the width of the arm that you want (about 1cm), and do as I have shown.
