Nage-no-Kata consists of 15 representative throwing techniques, three from each of the following five categories: Te-waza, Ashi-waza, Masutemi-waza and Yoko-sutemi-waza.
This kata was created from 1884 to 85 to help understand and master the theoretical basis of each technique, from kuzushi (balance-breaking) and tsukuri (setup) to kake (execution).
