Sea Invades Norfolk (1938)

Norfolk. First 32 seconds are soundtrack only; commentator talks of the floods along the east coast of England where the sea has broken over the sea walls. Several brief shots of badly flooded fields; some are aerial shots. Some men in a small boat paddle their way over the water. A windmill turns its sails in a water-covered field. At Horsey just the top of the church remains above flood waters; brief shot of the Post Office (above water but closed!). Commentator says the village has been evacuated. Residential streets are completely underwater; area looks deserted. Visuals cut out 3 seconds before the end of the story; soundtrack continues. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
