Everyone seems to either have a hobby or show some interest in hobbies these days. On the one hand, some people swear by hobbies and make it clear that a lot of pros are associated with them, anything from health benefits to... well, the fact that a hobby is fun. On the other hand, though, many claim hobbies are a waste of time and nothing more. Come to think of it, what are the economics behind hobbies? Or, more specifically, are hobbies nothing more than a waste of time or good for you from an economic perspective? As tempted as you might have been to assume an economist will simply shrug off hobbies as a time-waster, this video will make it clear (with examples and hobby ideas included in the mix for good measure) that things are a lot more complicated than meets the eye.
