Our New iTron Centron Smart Meter

Our electrical utility, Duquesne Light (pronounced Doo-Cane) is not only requiring us to upgrade to Smart Meter technology, it is also charging US a monthly fee for this service. Our only benefits are the (supposedly) more accurate reporting of actual kWh used and the ability to use a WiFi in-premise control panel to monitor (again, supposedly) our real-time consumption.
