Ukraine says “heavy fighting“ has broken out across nearly all of the southern Kherson region. Kyiv’s military says it broke Russian defences in Kherson in a major counter offensive to retake the territory. Five people were killed as Russia attacked central Kharkiv 8 times using a Pion self-propelled heavy artillery system. Meanwhile, Russia claims Kyiv suffered “large-scale losses“ of more than 1,200 troops and dozens of equipment during its southern attacks.
