Hello“ is a song by American singer and songwriter Lionel Richie. Taken as the third single from his second solo album, Can’t Slow Down (1983), the song was released in 1984 and reached number one on three Billboard music charts: the pop chart (for two weeks), the R&B chart (for three weeks),[4] and the Adult Contemporary chart (for six weeks). The song also went to number one on the UK Singles Chart for six weeks.[5]
The song was subject to a lawsuit by songwriter Marjorie Hoffman White, who accused Richie of plagiarizing her 1978 composition “I’m Not Ready to Go“
------------LYRICS----------
“Hello“
I’ve been alone with you
Inside my mind
And in my dreams I’ve kissed your lips
A thousand times
I sometimes see you
Pass outside my door
Hello!
Is it me you’re looking for?
I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You’re all I’ve ever wanted
And my arms are open
