Jersey - The Long 24 Hours (1965)

Jersey travelogue - showing all the wonders and pleasures on offer for holidaymakers. Begins with footage of the “Britain’s Hill Climb“ race. Racing cars speed around island roads. A couple drive in an open topped car. Various scenic views of Jersey beaches. Holidaymakers sit at a beach side cafe sipping drinks through straws. High angle shot of an outdoor swimming pool. Man dives in. C/Us of woman and young boy picking brightly coloured flowers. Sequence showing flowers being poked through wire shapes to make brightly coloured floats for the “Battle of the Flowers“. Channel Air plane arrives at Jersey airport as tourists arrive. Fun on a beach - two men play “catch“ then a group of young people run into the sea. A group of four men and a woman put on wet suits then go for a dive in Bouley Bay. Underwater shots of one of them spearing a fish - very murky water.
