Holland.
Two men work in open air making clogs by hand. Herman Ratterman (sp?) is a Dutch clog maker and we see all the various processes involved in carving clogs from slabs of wood. C/U of Mr Ratterman’s feet. He wears clogs of course.
Interior of a workshop where machine is used to carve two clogs at once - it is pretty primitive but narrator states: “Now the Dutch are making clogs on mass production lines, nothing too ambitious but it does prove that this Mediaeval footwear has more than a souvenir value.“
Ends with a shot of a dozens of painted clogs hanging up.
Cuts exist - see other record.
