Birds Of Prey (1965)

Colwyn Bay, North Wales. M/S of a man wearing a deer stalker hat holding an eagle on his arm. He lets it go onto its perch and feeds it. The falconer then is seen carrying a Giant Condor and taking him out to be fed and exercised. The condor is fed meat. We see a girl preparing chopped meat and another falconer wraps it in fur to make it attractive to the birds of prey. The condor is perched on one standing stone (part of an ancient stone circle). The bird with its huge 10 foot wing span flies toward the falconer as the meat is held out. There are various shots of the flying to get the meat and flying off again. The item closes with the man walking with the eagle on his arm. Cuts exist - see other record - one of the men is called Lawrence de Bastien. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
