What the hell did we actually just witness?

After Matt Rempe introduced himself to the New Jersey Devils with a nasty hit on Bastian that resulted in a match penalty, he fuelled an NHL rivalry. Not by dropping the gloves with Kurtis MacDermid though. Instead, with another nasty hit on Siegenthaler their very next game that resulted in a suspension. Needless to say, there is bad blood between these two! So, tonight as the New York Rangers hosted the New Jersey Devils, we had ourselves a game for the ages! The opening period alone had 162 penalty minutes handed out!! We had a full line brawl, 6 scraps, 8 players ejected from the game on top of the coaches going at it all before we even played 5 minutes.
