Astor Piazzolla: Tango “Otono Porteño“ for piano (with score)

Performed by Christian Dillig (piano) This tango which captures a melancholic autumn mood is further part of the cycle Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas by the Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla (1921 -1992) in an arrangement for piano. The cycle describes the four seasons in the Argentine capital and port city of Buenos Aires. A porteño, or feminine porteña, is a term for a resident of a port city. Originally, these were four independent compositions, which Piazzolla later combined into the cycle.
