The Scottish regiment (not named) march through a park; officers and men from the Scottish and American regiments shake hands and swap hats; a pretty American girl walks along with a soldier from each regiment on either arm. At a port on the Pacific seaboard of America we see the US destroyer ’Shaw’ completing a historic 2,000 mile journey from Pearl Harbour. The ship was damaged in an attack and had her bow amputated. Sailors on board wave at the camera. Somewhere in the US, we see several shots of a new amphibian tank being demonstrated. US Marines drive the tanks through water and up onto the shore.
