Your Community Response Team officers risk their lives on a daily to reduce crime in NYC.  During an attempted car stop of a stolen vehicle, this dangerous criminal decided to not only jeopardize the life of these officers, but the public.  As the officers try to get him out of his stolen car, the suspect quickly accelerates his vehicle in reverse at a high rate of speed nearly running over a small child walking with her mother and crashing into a building.  But he wasn’t done running.  He then puts the car in drive, accelerates at an officer, strikes the officer as he tries to jump out of the way, pins the same cop between his car and a parked vehicle, and then takes off. Our officer is being treated at a local area hospital for thankfully non life threatening injuries.  The suspect then strikes multiple cars, flees for several blocks before ditching his stolen vehicle.
