Meet The Bride! (1934)

Titles read: “Meet the Bride! (Not to mention the Groom!)“. Saxony, Germany. Various shots of a traditional peasant wedding in a Saxony village. The bride and groom walk slowly out of the church; both are wearing traditional costume and the bride seems to be wearing a topiary bush on her head. They get into a horse-drawn carriage, commentator points out the man gets in first because he is ’lord of his spouse’. The pair are carried to their home by villagers. C/U of one of the bridesmaids - also wearing the topiary bush headgear. Nice shots of the wedding guests dancing in a courtyard. It looks like traditional folk dancing - at one point, two of the men link arms and swing their female partners with their other arms. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
