Eric Clapton & Buddy Guy - Money (That’s What I Want), live at the Royal Albert Hall, 1990

Great take on an old rhythm & blues song, composed and recorded at the end of the ’50s, later to be covered by some musical acts such as the Beatles, the Flying Lizards, or Buddy Guy. This here rendition is from a live performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London: Blues Night, by Eric Clapton & Friends. Buddy Guy is basically singing and playing the whole song, being backed up by Eric Clapton (and probably Robert Cray as well) in terms of rhythm guitar. Buddy’s soloing on this take is truly magnificent. The performance has a dynamic approach that sets it apart from other renditions, including Buddy’s other takes on it. Otherwise, I do not hold the rights for the audio of the song, neither for the few pictures of the great two blues masters that are inserted into the video.
