Douglas Lambert with La Jamais Contente - Record Breakers 1989

This 1989 episode of Record Breakers featured renowned British engineer Douglas Lambert breaking the 1899 land speed record. The electric bullet car is a rebuilt version of La Jamais Contente (The Never Satisfied), the first road vehicle to go over 100 kilometres per hour (62 mph) and driven by the Belgian driver Camille Jenatzy. Douglas Lambert rebuilt the vehicle in its entirety himself to break the record.
